H. H. HAYES

Edited by D. W. Lovell

While a student at the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario, Lovell interviewed Hayes, his grandfather, about Hayes' experiences in the First World War as an engineer in the Canadian army and his post war years.

Reprinted by permission of Don Lovell and Arun Konanur, grandsons. Mr. Konanur will answer inquiries via Arun@Konanurinc.com. Hayes worked in Arnot's Bakery in Jacksonville, Florida in 1926 and wrote about the experience. The full story of the bakery is in Donald J. Mabry, "Arnot's Bakery & Restaurant" published in 2013.
