Partido Liberal Mexicano

The part was organized in 1900 by Ricardo Flores Magón, Enrique Flores Magón, Librado Rivera, Juan Sarabia, and Antonio Horcasistas to oppose the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz. It met in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí to write a platform. The party was anticlerical and called for liberty of the press, fair voting, the return to and full implementation of the Laws of the Reform,  the right to strike, and municipal liberty. Its newsparer was Regeneración.
The Magón brothers chafed at what hey believed the timidity and false analysis of the party. They were anarchists. Their agitation landed them in jail. When Ricardo Flores Magón came out of prison in October, 1903, he headed to the United States. There, he continued to organize and plot against the Díaz dictatorship.
